April 19, 2023
When Yesenia and Josh decided to plan a celebration for their wedding anniversary, they didn’t just want a party—they wanted an unforgettable experience with the people who matter most. Already married, they chose to host an intimate weekday wedding anniversary celebration in the mountains of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Nestled in the Smokies, The Magnolia, a stunning Tennessee mountain wedding venue, became the perfect backdrop for this deeply personal and joy-filled day.
Their Wednesday wedding anniversary on April 19, 2023, was bursting with color, heartfelt details, and mountain magic. It was expertly planned by Elite Wedding Planning, beautifully captured by Linkes Photography, and overflowing with fresh spring blooms thanks to Thistle & Lace.
Yesenia began her day in The Magnolia’s private bridal suite, transformed into a vision of elegance by the talented teams at Bangs & Blush and Jacqueline Jaber. Her look? Show-stopping. A white gown with an elegant train, off-the-shoulder sheer beaded sleeves, pearl drop earrings, and white pearl-embellished booties. Her hair flowed freely with a jeweled fastener adding just the right touch of sparkle. Furthermore, she added a fun twist with a white fringe party jacket that read “Mrs. Goeman,” and carried a lush spring bouquet of vibrant pinks, orange, and white.
Meanwhile, Josh looked timeless in a classic black three-piece tux, floral bowtie, and cowboy boots. His colorful boutonnière tied everything together. Joy and vibrance undeniably filled the entire day at their Tennessee mountain wedding venue.
Yesenia and Josh’s four children played a special role in their intimate Tennessee mountain wedding anniversary celebration. Their sons wore matching black tuxes and bowties as ring bearers, while their daughters glowed in pastel pink gowns and flower crowns to match the bridal bouquet.
Before the ceremony, the family gathered on the stone path and knoll for soft morning light portraits. It was a calm, beautiful moment before the celebration began.
As the day unfolded, the amazing vendors worked together to create a seamless and stunning setup. Guests arrived to the romantic sound of live violin music from Stephen Goff Entertainment. Then they made their way to the open-air patio, where they first experienced the jaw-dropping views of the Smoky Mountains.
Truly, those panoramic views are one of the most talked-about features of The Magnolia. The views are mentioned in nearly every 5-star review of the Tennessee mountain wedding venue. And this day? It delivered indeed.
The ceremony aisle was framed by gorgeous floral boxes and decked out floral pillars, with even more spring blooms drawing eyes toward the altar. The flower girls gracefully floated down the aisle and the ring bearer slowly followed (with some encouragement!). Then Josh caught his first glimpse of Yesenia—and you could certainly feel the emotion in the air.
They exchanged vows with the Smokies as their witness and sealed their promise with a kiss, marking the start of a new chapter in their love story.
Guests gathered under the covered patio for cocktail hour. Here personalized bottle openers served as thank-you gifts and a gold phone doubled as a charming audio guestbook. The couple’s neon sign popped against a greenery wall (now available through The Magnolia Shop), turning the space into an interactive photo booth. A chocolate strawberry fountain became an instant favorite—delicious and fun!
As guests entered the Grand Hall, they were greeted with an explosion of spring florals. Every table was layered with thoughtful, colorful details: blush pink linens, bud vases filled with vibrant blooms, pink and peach pillar candles, rattan chargers, pink beaded glassware, and cream arched table numbers. The head table was framed by the Smoky Mountains, with the open doors creating a seamless indoor-outdoor feel.
Dinner was served by Rosa’s Catering, a fan favorite amongst couples. It was followed by a floral-covered cake from Fox Den Baking Co. that was “almost” too beautiful to cut!
Next came the party! A champagne fountain on the patio signaled the start of the reception. Yesenia and Josh shared a romantic first dance under string lights with the Tennessee Smoky Mountain views glowing behind them. It was an especially memorable part of the incredible evening.
Then, just before the final celebration, Yesenia and Josh snuck away for sunset portraits on the iconic mountain bluff—a Magnolia favorite for a reason. As the golden light dipped behind the Smokies, they shared a quiet moment together before rejoining their guests for dancing under the stars. Wrapped in the crisp spring mountain air, their night ended on the open-air patio. It was a joyful, romantic, and a dreamy finish to a perfect day.
Yesenia and Josh’s Wednesday celebration is a perfect example of why destination weekday weddings are becoming so popular in Pigeon Forge. More date availability, less stress, and just as much magic. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering like this 44-person event or a custom-designed celebration for up to 100 guests, The Magnolia tailors every layout and detail to your guest count, your vision, and your priorities.
