Q&A with Jess Hopkins

What is the overall experience of working with you like.

Growing up I always loved seeing my friends in thriving relationships. Dinner and a movie for 3? Didn’t bother me in the slightest. I was the best third wheel out there! I was that girl who LOVED love, and I still am! Hiring Say Yes With Jess Weddings means that you are investing not only in your wedding day, but also in a lasting friendship. I strive to truly get to know my couples so by the time your wedding is finally here, it feels like we’ve known each other forever. I will be your biggest cheerleader, you’re professional dress fluffer, you’re emotional security guard, and you’re designated superhero.

What sorts of services do you offer (month-of coordination, full-service planning, or à la carte planning)?

My services include Full Planning, Partial Planning, Day of Coordination, and Destination Planning! I’m here to help you whether you need a full year of planning, help along the way, or just assistance on the day of to make sure your vision is executed flawlessly. Are you traveling to the area from out of state? No worries! I’ve actually helped a couple plan their destination wedding all the way from Australia! No matter the distance, I got your back.

Do you offer different package options or is everything customized based on what a couple is looking for?

Like most of humanity, I am a creature of habit so my packages are designed to be completed as a whole. This is a big part of how I assure my couples that every detail is checked off the to-do list, and that their wedding will be stress-free.

Do you offer decor to your brides?

Yes! All of my couples have full access to my decor inventory at no extra cost. Vases, gold candle sticks, signs, table numbers, antique mirrors, photo booth prop….I must admit I’m a little addicted to buying wedding stuff!

What is your favorite part of planning a wedding?

Finding ways to include personal details throughout the decor and the day as a whole! I love it when we get creative, because it helps me get to know the couple even more. Have pets but can’t bring them to the wedding? Name a cocktail after them! Are you a big pie person? Skip the cake, and ask your family to make those famous family recipes you love so much! I really enjoy making things custom to the couple vs. being traditional.

Do you work with a team?

You bet! On your wedding day, you get me and one of my lovely assistants. While you are relaxing in the getting ready room, you can trust us completely to run the wedding you’ve always wanted. We are there the entire day to ensure we are accessible for your every need.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR COMMUNICATION STYLE/PROCESS IN INTERACTING WITH COUPLES THROUGHOUT THE PLANNING PROCESS

Say hi to your new professional third wheel! I’m here for you when you have questions and need advice. For full planning, our meetings typically start 1 year out from the wedding. For Partial planning, we start meeting 9 months out. For day of coordination we start meeting 6 months out. If you are inquiring for a package with less time than the above suggested time frames, don’t worry. We can adjust as needed.
